Opened in 2006 in the Midtown neighborhood of Atlanta, Beep Beep Gallery is owned and operated by Mark Basehore and James McConnell. The DIY styled art space features a variety of artists, while maintaining a focus on spotlighting new work by local emerging talent. In addition to the gallery space, Beep Beep also organizes Artlantis, an annual arts and music festival in Poncey-Highland.
Get This! Gallery is located in the West-Midtown neighborhood of Atlanta, Ga. It’s owned and operated by Lloyd Benjamin, a self-taught artist who moved to Atlanta in 2002 to pursue his own fine art career. After seeing that Atlanta’s art scene was operating on a national level, he opened the gallery to create a forum for emerging contemporary artists from around the country. The gallery offers artists up 800 square feet of exhibition space.
Marcia Wood Gallery represents artists of exceptional merit who are making notable contributions to the field of contemporary art. In dialogue with an ongoing focus on painting, the gallery presents a diverse program of media including video, installation, digital media, sculpture and photography. The gallery is located in a seventy-five year old historic building in the downtown area of Castleberry Hill.
Owned and directed by Susan Bridges, Whitespace is a recognized contemporary gallery in Atlanta’s historic Inman Park neighborhood. Situated within an 1893 carriage house, the gallery exhibits original painting, drawing, sculpture and photography by emerging and mid-career artists. Represented work ranges from figurative to abstract and conceptual to cinematic. Gallery programming includes films and readings. With her unique gallery environment, Bridges encourages open expression and promotes unconventional projects.
